Choosing tracks

We spend a lot of time picking and choosing tracks we like and then to shape them our way. Sometimes we go for classic electronic tracks, but we try to add a little extra dimension to them, to put our feel on to the original. Covering an electronic track and then reworking it so that it’s not clear what track it as first gives us a perverse kick.

But sometimes we do songs that were never electronic tracks, and that can mean songs from the 1960s onwards. Looking at tracks by The Doors or The Exciters (yes, them) through to Florence and the Machine, the Corrs or U2 (quite a mix) makes it all challenging and a bit different. Doing songs originally written and performed on guitars and making a version with synths always allows us to put our spin on the track.
